The portions are large and we were easily able to share and we still had food left over. Because Smoke Ring offers a variety of BBQ sauces I think next time I will ask that no sauce be added so that I can add my own and try some of the other flavors. We also added a little cheese to the eggs. This dish typically comes with 2 over easy eggs, but I prefer my eggs scrambled so that’s how we had it prepared. It included tender smoked brisket, onions and peppers tossed in a chipotle BBQ sauce that laid on a bed of fried potatoes. We ordered 2 brunch entreés with one of them being the smoked brisket hash. They reminded me of loaded hash browns formed into a giant ball and fried. Overall they were good, just not what I expected. They are pretty crispy on the outside and you will need to cut them open with a knife. Three large tots stuffed with bacon, jalapeno, cheddar cheese and was served on top of an ancho chile ketchup. We didn’t quite know what to expect but then these babies came to the table. Smoke Ring has an interesting brunch menu that included these large tater tots. On this trip, I took my good friend Tawana with me for a day of food and 1…maybe 2…ok 4 glasses of mimosas. One of my co-workers had mentioned this restaurant to me before as he’s an avid lover of BBQ, so I was stoked about stopping in for a visit. There’s lots of wood from the tables to the bar and it even has a small area with a few old school arcade games. I would describe the space as rustic and sleek. I’ve been on the hunt for bottomless mimosa’s in the City for a while now, so I am pretty excited that I’ve come across Smoke Ring.
